Academic Writing-Class C

This course is designed to enhance the students’ capability to review research articles and to write good conceptual scientific papers in the area of ELT. This course is arranged into two parts. In the first half semester, it focuses on reviewing research articles and the theoretical concepts on the scientific writing process and its key stages (paraphrasing, quoting, referencing, reviewing, and synthesizing). In the second half semester, the students are assigned to apply the theory and to write a conceptual scientific article based on their topic interest under the guidance of the lecturers. At the end of the semester, the students are asked to make a final project in the form of a conceptual scientific article.
