This course aims to prepare the students to be able to write and speak English with confident by equipping them with knowledge about word structures through Morphology and sentence structures through Syntax. The flow of the course begins with lessons about the internal structure of English words and their meaningful parts (Morphology) and then goes to how words are combined together to form phrases, phrases combined together to form larger phrases, clauses and sentences, and how clauses are combined together to form complex sentences.
The course will focus on essential skills for the linguistic description and analysis of English words and sentences.
